A favorite hobgoblin of English teachers past is the ending of clauses or sentences with prepositions (linking words such as on, for, of, at, up, with). This old prohibition is just plain silly, resulting in stilted constructions like the example above. So go ahead — ending sentences with prepositions is nothing to be ashamed of.
